Remember, it is not safe for our furry friends in this weather. The temperature went past 35C today, which is far too hot for a small bear made of fur and stuffing. I have swapped my usual blue t-shirt for a Hawaiian one for the duration, although there is only so much an outfit change can do when the sun is this strong.

I have been sitting in the park between the trees, finding the shade and not moving very much. The grass is at least a little cooler than the pavement. If you have a dog or any other pet with fur, please make sure they have plenty of water and somewhere cool to rest.

I am looking forward to the cool of the evening when we can finally come back outside without melting. The forecast says the heat will continue for a few more days, so it is worth being prepared.
