I have been looking back at my old photographs from Kyoto in March 2009.

We had travelled east from Tokyo on the bullet train, which I still find hard to believe first opened in 1964 and can travel at 200mph. The journey was awesome. Kyoto itself was full of history.

In the picture is the Kyoto tower, one of the best visual landmarks in the city. It looked awesome at night. I have thoroughly enjoyed my two trips to Japan and would happily go back again.
